The moment I finished this one, my wife wandered by and discovered...well...all kinds of symbolism in it. I told her to go away and leave me alone. We're into music, but We're also into other things that...go bump in the night. If you want to see naughty symbolism in this sculpture, go ahead.
Claude Monet was always one of my very favorite painters and this is a tribute to him. I'd like to think that if he were alive today, he might enjoy sitting in his Library and listening to this fountain. Notice the brushwork on the water. It's alive! hope you enjoy.
We live on ten acres of deep woods, and in the fall We're knee-deep in...leaves! it's heavy on the maple and Oaks around here and you wouldn't believe how many variations there are just on Oaks and maple each one is a tiny work of art unto itself. This is the second in what will be a series of nature-oriented paintings. It is rich in iridescent patinas and it is highly detailed. I hope you enjoy it
If you've ever seen Fantasia and watched the amazing fairies doing their ballet to tchaikovsky's wondrous music, you get the idea of the feeling this fountain gives. No photograph can capture the magic that is going on here...the light, the color, the sound of the water... it's nothing short of magical
